Terms Of Service

LAST UPDATED: OCTOBER 15, 2026

These terms govern your use of athleteadspace.com, operated by [Legal entity name] ("AthleteAdSpace", "we"). By creating an account or using the site you agree to them.

1. Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or have a parent or guardian's consent where the law allows.
  • Information in your profile must be accurate, including results, follower counts, race kit and company details.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity on your account.

2. Verification

  • Athletes may submit their social media accounts and race or event results for verification. We may ask for evidence such as official results links or proof that you control an account.
  • A "Verified" badge means we reviewed the details at the time they were submitted. It is not a guarantee of audience size or future performance.
  • Changing verified details sends them for review again. We may refuse or remove verification, and suspend accounts, where information is false or misleading.

3. The marketplace

AthleteAdSpace lets sponsors make offers to athletes and lets athletes accept or decline them. Apart from collecting and forwarding payments and products and charging the fees described below, we are not a party to any sponsorship agreement. Athletes and sponsors are responsible for agreeing the details, delivering what was promised, and complying with the rules of their sport, event organisers and governing bodies (including rules on logos, kit and body markings at races).

4. Advertising options and pricing

  • Athletes choose which types of advertising they offer, such as race kit logos, temporary tattoos, swag/merch, product placement at finish lines and interviews, and sponsored reels or social video. Sponsors can only make offers for types an athlete has switched on.
  • Athletes may set a starting bid. Offers below an athlete's starting bid or tattoo price are not accepted.
  • Temporary tattoo prices are set per placement (shoulders, chest, legs, back). Athletes set their own price for each placement (minimum $10), which is the amount they receive. The price shown to sponsors also includes tattoo production, shipping and processing costs.

5. Temporary tattoos

If you offer temporary tattoos, or accept a temporary tattoo sponsorship, you agree to:

  • apply the tattoo supplied for that sponsorship in the agreed placement, following the application instructions, before the agreed race or content shoot;
  • keep it reasonably visible for the agreed race or content, and capture photos or video showing it as agreed with the sponsor;
  • check that the tattoo is permitted by the event organiser and governing body, and tell us and the sponsor promptly if it is not, or if you cannot use it (for example because of injury or a skin reaction);
  • do a patch test if you have sensitive skin, and stop using a tattoo that causes irritation. You use tattoos at your own risk, and we are not responsible for skin reactions to the extent the law allows.

Failing to apply an accepted tattoo without a good reason may mean the sponsorship is not marked complete and is not paid.

6. Race kit, products and shipping

  • Athletes may list their current race kit and equipment. Keep it accurate and tell sponsors about any conflicting brand agreements before accepting an offer.
  • Where a sponsorship includes products, equipment, swag or tattoos, the athlete must provide complete shipping details before or when accepting it. Shipping details are used only by AthleteAdSpace: sponsors send products to AthleteAdSpace and we forward them to the athlete. We do not share athletes' contact, address, banking or payment details with sponsors. We share those details with that sponsor (and our tattoo supplier where relevant) only to deliver the items.
  • Products provided instead of payment are part of the sponsorship value. Unless agreed otherwise in writing, the athlete may keep them once the sponsorship is complete.

7. Offers, payments, fees and payouts

  • Offers state a package, an amount in USD, whether it is paid in cash, product or both, and an optional duration and message.
  • An accepted offer is an agreement between the sponsor and the athlete. All communication about an offer goes through AthleteAdSpace.
  • Once an offer is accepted, the sponsor pays AthleteAdSpace the cash amount plus a processing fee, shown before payment, through our payment provider, Stripe. Where an offer includes products, the sponsor also pays the cost of product creation and shipping, on top of the processing fee. AthleteAdSpace does not take a commission on sponsorships.
  • Sponsor accounts require an active monthly plan (currently $9 per month, or $27 per month for the Featured sponsor plan) to view full athlete profiles and make offers. Plans renew monthly until cancelled, and a cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid month.
  • Athletes receive cash sponsorships through a payout account connected via Stripe. Banking details are entered with Stripe and are not stored by AthleteAdSpace, and Stripe's own terms apply. Athletes do not pay a fee on sponsorships they accept.
  • We release an athlete's payout after the sponsored content has been verified (section 9). Payouts can be delayed if payment from the sponsor, payout setup or verification is incomplete.
  • You are responsible for any taxes on payments you receive.

8. Paid add-ons for athletes

  • Visibility Booster places your profile near the top of the athlete list with a "Featured" label for the period shown at purchase.
  • Nudge a Sponsor sends one message on your behalf to a sponsor you choose, introducing your profile. A sponsor can be nudged once per period shown at purchase.
  • Add-ons increase visibility only. They do not guarantee offers or sponsorships. Prices are shown before you pay, and add-ons are non-refundable once delivered, except where the law requires otherwise.

9. Sponsored content and proof of completion

  • After accepting a sponsorship, the athlete must create the agreed content and confirm it on their dashboard (or by replying to our email) with link(s) to the content.
  • We review submitted content against the accepted offer. We may ask for changes or more evidence before approving it.
  • When content is approved, the sponsorship is marked complete and is added automatically to the athlete's public sponsorship history, showing the sponsor name, sponsorship type, completion date and a link to the content. By submitting content you allow us to display this.

10. Acceptable use

Don't post false or misleading information, harass other members, scrape or copy member data, or use the site for unlawful purposes. Sponsored content must follow the advertising disclosure rules where you live (for example labelling posts as #ad).

11. Content

You keep ownership of what you upload or link to. You give us permission to display it on the site to operate the service, including in sponsorship histories. You confirm you have the right to share it.

12. Ending your account

You can close your account at any time by contacting us. Sponsorships that are already accepted must still be completed or cancelled by agreement. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

13. Disclaimers and liability

The site is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, for products supplied by sponsors, or for the performance of any sponsorship agreement between members.

14. Changes and law

We may update these terms and will post the new version here. These terms are governed by the laws of [Province/State, Country].
